One of the many reasons my family enjoys The Winds is Mittens. We have four kids and they all have fond memories of Mittens the Mascot. Before we found out her name was Mittens we called her Popeye because of her unusual looking left eye. On our way to The Winds we always make a stop at the grocery store to pick up a can or two of cat food (now easier with the new Lowes near the bridge on the mainland). Speaking of names, my daughter Sophia is thrilled that "Windy" was chosen as the name for turtle since she was one of the people who entered that name in your contest. Thanks again for the great memories. We all love staying at The Winds!

Love the videos about Mittens. Just curious, since this cat makes so many people happy, does she have someone responsible for her vet care? If not, maybe it would be possible to involve the community- ask local businesses to set up jars on the counter to accept donations for her. She deserves it! And if someone is already doing this for the cat, bless you.
