The Winds has received the highest high marks and awards for cleanliness in both Housekeeping and Food Service!
The Winds Resort Beach Club is a proud recipient of The Gold Star of Excellence Award from the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association for “Spotless Reputation in Cleanliness in 2007?!
Also… after over three years of 100% and above ratings from the Brunswick County Health Department for our Tiki Bar/Restaurant we feel it is about time to “toot the horn” of our fantastic Food and Beverage Department.
Jodi Brown and her staff have done an incredible job of preparing and serving our hot breakfast buffet seven days a week, 365 days a year. As soon as they clean up after breakfast they begin serving up great food and drinks from the Garden Bar and put on our seasonal weekly Wine and Cheese parties. That they have been able to do all this and maintain ratings from 100% to 105% for over three years running is nothing short of amazing!
We didn’t know it was possible to get a rating over 100% until we noticed the rating of 105% one day. After questioning Jodi we learned that you can earn up to five extra points by attending ongoing health department seminars on the latest methods of sanitation, etc.
The Health department has awarded The Winds the Golden A Award for three years running. The Golden A Award is presented for scoring 95% or above for four quarters in a row.

I was astonished to discover the tropical beauty and southern hospitality when I arrived at The Winds-the accomodations are excellent, the staff is superb! I had an opportunity to meet the front desk ladies, the gardener and the pool attendant – all very helpful and informative. Everyone was friendly, professional and most delightful! There were renovations and installation of an elevator during my stay; however, I plan to return with friends over the next year. Wonderful environment for singles, married couples and families. Like Key West without the unpleasant variables. Thank you so much for the many splendid memories of Ocean Isle in August, 2008.
